Jonathan’s singing career began as a Choral Scholar at King’s College, Cambridge.
As a Bass in various choirs, he has sung at prestigious international venues such as Sydney Opera House, Sagrada Familia and The Royal Albert Hall; From Opera at Edinburgh Festival to Disney at Wilderness, even Early Music in Bermuda, his vocal diversity shines through.
Jonathan has also sung backing with London Contemporary Voices for artists such as Sam Smith, Kim Wilde, Laura Mvula and Basement Jaxx, and recorded at Abbey Road Studios with Classic FM chart-act The Cantus Ensemble.
Following a successful partnership with international pop hit-makers Charlie Mason (‘Rise Like a Phoenix’- Conchita Wurst) and John Matthews (The Cuban Boys), in August 2016 Jonathan released his debut EP ‘Sunrise’, a highly charged collection of synth-pop and disco club tunes on dance label Banoffesound.
In 2018, Jonathan composed his first choral piece, a setting of Walt Whitman’s famous poem, ‘O Captain! My Captain!’ which was premiered at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank Centre by London Contemporary Voices.
In 2020, Jonathan released two new singles, ‘Feel the Fire’, co-written with Olly Shelton and ‘Lifetime Guarantee’ co-written with John Matthews. ‘Feel the Fire’ also includes brilliant dance remixes. All of Jonathan’s singles are available on Spotify, Apple, iTunes, Amazon, YouTube and Bandcamp. In that same year, The Cantus Ensemble premiered Jonathan’s new choral piece, ‘Songs of Thankfulness and Praise’.
In January 2022, Jonathan’s choral composition, “O Captain! My Captain!” was published by Santa Barbara Music Publishing and the score is available for worldwide purchase here. This piece had its American premiere in Louisville, Kentucky by Schola Cantorum from Bellarmine University in October 2022 as part of their “Folk Songs, Poetry, and Sea Shanties” concert.
In 2023, “O Captain! My Captain!” received its Canadian premiere by Island Voices on Vancouver Island. Also this year, Jonathan’s track “Obsession” from his Sunrise EP was remixed by Bearly Disco and released on Spotify and all good music platforms. Jonathan also started combining music with comedy and performing stand-up which led to his being a finalist in the Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian of the Year competition in December. And he joined a new choir, The Fourth Choir and sang with them at the Barbican and the Royal Albert Hall.
In late 2025 Jonathan released the original song he performed on BGT, ‘First Time in Blackpool’. The song is reached number 4 in the LGBTQ+ chart.
Jonathan performs live PA’s on stages all over the world, including club sets, pride events and musical theatre events.
